I had one of these from Revlon for years until it finally gave out. I haven't been able to find another one like it online, so not sure if they discontinued them, but they shouldn't have bc they were fabulous. I saw this one in my searching & since it looks very similar & it is such a good price, I decided to try it. It seems to get hotter than the one I had & that was surprising. I wish it had 2 separate long buttons for the turning direction like mine bc it is so much easier to control than just the one small one on this one, but I guess I can get used to it. One thing I learned with my other one that I want to suggest here for anyone who may be new to this type styler- it is so much easier if you use your middle finger to control the directional button than using your thumbs bc you are able to hold the dryer more securely & able to release the button easier when you need to. That's why 2 buttons -one for each direction- makes it easier to control. The only thing I noticed that I really didn't like is sometimes my hair seemed to get caught & pulled somehow a few times. Not exactly sure how or why it was happening. Overall, I'm very pleased with it so far-just have to get used to the slight differences in this one & my old one from Revlon. If it lasts even half as long as that one did, I will be pleased. I would give it 5 stars if it had 2 separate & longer directional buttons instead of the one small one & if it hadn't pulled my hair a few times. Hard plastic covers for the brushes like my old one had would be nice too, but I'm surprisingly pleased with it so far. It's better than I actually expected.
